Passage: John 1:1

Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, we gathered for Candles, Carols, and Communion.

We stepped into the warmth and joy of our Christmas Eve candlelight service, a cherished tradition that filled our hearts with the spirit of the season. The soft glow of flickering candles set a serene backdrop as we were wrapped in the rich harmonies of beloved Christmas carols. Together, we sang, allowing the familiar melodies to carry us to a place of peace and nostalgia.

We were immersed in the profound beauty of scripture readings and inspiring preaching by Pastor Bruce Johnson, which provided moments of reflection and hope.

This service was a time to reconnect with the essence of Christmas and find solace in its enduring messages.

A profound highlight of our service was the Holy Communion, a sacred act that drew us closer as a community of faith. We paused to give thanks and felt the comforting presence of something greater than ourselves. The evening held a special surprise for our youngest attendees as well.

A children's message, designed just for them by Saundra Sandrock, sparked wonder and filled their hearts with the joy of the season. Our music was a harmonious blend of the old and the new.

The Traditional and Common Ground music teams joined forces to create a musical tapestry that combined classical Christmas carols with contemporary tunes. This blend uplifted our spirits and left us with hearts brimming with Christmas cheer.

We joined together for an evening where community, tradition, and celebration interwove into a delightful tapestry of festive joy. It was a night to remember, and we were delighted to share it with everyone who attended.
