| Pender Mens Group is a
completely self-funded social organization of men of all ages and
walks of faith led and called by the Spirit of God to serve, educate,
and develop disciples for Christ. We do this through fellowship,
spiritual growth, and service to our members, Pender Church, and the
greater community of Christ. If you feel led to participate or are

Pender United
Methodist Men invites and encourages all men (young adults to
retirees) of the church to join in fellowship, spiritual growth,
and service to others. The mens group serves to educate and
develop leaders and Christians with a heart for serving our
church, our community and the worldwide community of Christ. Our
activities revolve around four core objectives:
- Engaging in fun and exciting
activities designed to raise the FUN factor of life;
- Growing in the teachings of
Christ to better equip men with the unique challenges Christ
calls them to take on in daily life;
- Helping each other become better
fathers, husbands, leaders, and Christians;
- Serving together to reach out to
the greater community of Christ locally, nationally, and
internationally.

Service
Through
the several fund raising activities held throughout the year, Pender
Men's Group is able to sponsor and or donate a substantial amount of
money toward local and international missions each year, including the
Boy Scouts of America, Christmas in April, the Pender Outreach Center,
and mission trips to Eastern Europe, South America, and Africa. In
addition, a good portion of the money raised goes to feed and fuel the
fun factor, personal development, and spiritual growth of our
members.
Activities
Our
annual calendar of activities includes Dad's Day with the kids at
Kings Dominion, Game Night, Date Night, Sweetheart Banquet/Dance, and
Family Night at the Ball Park to name a few. On the spiritual side,
the Annual Men's Retreat in October is a chance to rediscover God and
grow new friendships with other men of Pender in the blissful peace of
Camp Highroads. Led by Pastor Kenny, the men invite their spouses and
significant others twice a year to attend the monthly dinner meeting
and renew their relationships with the special person in your life.
Finally, there is a Men's Bible Study that meets every Saturday
morning at the Church and new for this year will be a prayer breakfast
series during the work week aimed at helping men in the workplace to
be examples of Christian leadership.
Monthly Dinner Meetings
We hold
a monthly business and fellowship meeting on the fourth Wednesday of
each month at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall. All men are invited to
attend, regardless of whether they are members of Pender or not. Feel
free to bring a friend.

for the food and fun, come back for the fellowship, service and
