Creative computer-types needed at services

CREATIVE COMPUTER TYPES NEEDED  The “Know God" cluster needs volunteers to assist during the 8:15 and 11:00 services by operating the Power Point/Easy Worship programs, or the audio sound board.  Power point/Easy Worship are used to display the praise songs and slides used by the pastors.  The time you volunteer will help all those in worship have a more fulfilling and rewarding time.  No experience necessary, and on-the-job training will be provided.  If you can serve God in this ministry area, please contact David Cahoon, 202-631-4894 (cell) or email at dccahoon@cox.net.

Access to Church Office, Vehicles

DRIVE THE VAN? GET AUTHORIZED! Our recently updated Vehicle Use Policy requires that all drivers of our vehicles be authorized to drive by Pender’s automobile insurance agent.  Our agent will review driver’s records annually and will confirm that the driver license is in full effect.  Authorized users who wish to maintain their driving authorization must renew their authorization annually (on or about October 1st of each year) by completing an approval process.  Current drivers will be contacted by the church office.  If you aren’t currently an authorized driver but would like to be, contact Debbie McKamey in the church office.

TRUSTEES TO SET NEW OFFICE ACCESS PROCEDURE Due to the need to improve security of the church office, the Trustees will soon implement a new procedure for gaining access.  The church has a card key security system that currently allows access to three of the outside doors of the church.  A card key reader on this system was recently installed at the church office front door.  The doors to the office will soon be re-keyed and access to the office will then be only by card key.  (As a backup to the magnetic keys, traditional metal keys will be made and issued to a few key personnel.)  The Trustees have developed a procedure for granting access by card key for times when the office is not otherwise open.  Access will be determined by office or position, not by person.  If you need access to the office when it is not routinely open (M-F 8am – 3pm & Sundays from 7:30am – 1 pm), please contact Debbie McKamey in the church office or at  and give her your church position, the reason & times that you need access.  The Trustees will then accumulate all responses and determine how to grant access.

You’re invited to have that opportunity with  Pastor Kenny and Mary Dale next year for 12 days. You will be staying in hotels at the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee and in Jerusalem.   Pastor Kenny and a Christian guide will be sharing along the way.  Contact the church office for more information.
