Welcome to our Children's Ministry
Pender United Methodist Church offers exciting ways to experience faith at your child's level.
The mission of our Children's Ministry is to encourage the children of Pender to grow in God and become disciples of Jesus Christ, by nurturing, educating and mentoring them.
We offer Sunday School at 9:30 am and 11:00 am on Sundays for children ages three and up, and loving nursery care during these times for children two and under.
Our traditional worship services include a children's time in which the sermon, for a few moments, is brought to the child's level through stories and visuals.
Pender offers numerous activities for children of all ages outside of Sunday worship, including children's choirs and bell groups, an American Heritage Girls troop, Jesus Loves You (JLU) group for 4th - 6th graders, and Vacation Bible School. We also hold a variety of special family events throughout the year, such as our Easter Egg Hunt, Harvest Party and Christmas VBS.
