How to Join Pender

About Our Staff

Where Are We located?

Traditional/Blended Service
8:15 and 11:00 am

At 8:15 and 11:00 am, Pender offers a traditional/blended worship service.  The service includes traditional music as well as contemporary worship and praise music.

You’ll find a variety of musical groups participating in these worship services, ranging from children, youth and adults, to vocal and bell choirs.

At Pender’s traditional/blended service, you get the best of both worlds!  We celebrate the traditions of our faith at these services with the scriptures, the creeds of the church, the symbols of our faith and a word from the Bible that applies spiritual principles to everyday life.

Holy Communion is shared the first Sunday of every month.  Come and join us for worship every Sunday in the main sanctuary at Pender.

Pender's Worship Services

Pender offers several ways to worship - each service with its own distinctive style, and character.

Each service, however, is committed to making disciples for Christ, Pender's values, our mission, and our core spiritual values.  Read more about what we believe here.

We sincerely hope you're able to find a worship service that blends with you and your family's unique character.

common ground
9:30 am

Not everyone is cut out for the same style of worship.  common ground  is Pender’s new worship event, with new music, a new style – new tools for life.

There are principles we have learned that have changed our lives for the better.  This service is designed to share these principles in a new light.  Through today’s music, new presentation tools, and a attitude we’ll bet you’ve never seen inside a church before, it’s our hope that you can be empowered to change your life in ways that you’ll not only like – but love.

Is common ground for you?  Golly, we hope so.  However, there’s one way to find out for sure.  Come join us at 9:30am on Sunday morning for six weeks.  That ought to be enough to find out!  There’s nothing to lose, and a lot to gain.  Find out more about common ground by visiting its website here.

About Our Strategy Map

The framework used to display the strategy is a six level grid called a ”Strategy Map.”  Each level of the grid represents a different “perspective.”   For each perspective there are a number of bubbles, each with a short phrase.  Each of these bubbles describes the most important tasks we must complete to accomplish our mission:  strategic objectives.

The first Perspective is the scriptural basis of our Church’s Strategy Map:  Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (NIV)

The second Perspective is the “Mission,” the ‘billboard’ statement of what Pender really does; in essence, why we exist.

The third Perspective defines “Core Spiritual Objectives,” tasks we must absolutely be able to do in order to accomplish our mission.

The fourth, and largest of the Perspectives, “Internal Process Strategic Objectives,” are those tasks that Pender must do in order to accomplish the Core Spiritual objectives, and accomplish our Mission.

The fifth Perspective, “People, Learning, and Growth Strategic Objectives,” depicts the tasks that Pender must do to equip the paid staff, volunteers, and members to accomplish the Internal Processes.

The sixth Perspective, “Resources,” depicts the resources Pender must secure in order to accomplish its mission.
